The "Häusener Kran" is a portal crane and is one of the oldest loading cranes still preserved on the Rhine. The structure and technical equipment have been preserved almost completely in the condition of the construction period around 1917.

In 1999, it was decommissioned after 82 years of operation. In 2020, comprehensive renovation measures began to preserve the crane, which were completed in 2021.
